ABSTRACT
Modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVAM) and amino-functionalized nano-silica (NSiO2) particles were employed as the base materials for synthesis of nanocomposite pour point depressant designated EVAM-g-NSiO2. This involved a chemical grafting process within solution system, followed by structural characterization. Moreover, combining macro-rheological performance with microscopic structure observation, influence on rheological properties model waxy oil system was investigated. The results indicate that when mass ratio NSiO2 to EVAM is 1:100, prepared EVAM-g-NSiO2 exhibits excellent reduction viscosity properties. obtained through reaction demonstrates stability (the bonding between polymer nanoparticles stable). points oils doped 500 mg/kg (EVA), EVAM, EVAM/SiO2 reduced from 34°C 23, 20, 21°C, respectively. After adding same dosage depressant, wax decreased 12 °C at 32 2399 2396.9 mPa·s, achieving an impressive rate 99.9%. Its surpassed EVA, EVAM/SiO2. dispersed in phase acts crystallization nucleus crystals, resulting dense crystals. compact crystal blocks are difficult overlap each other, preventing formation three-dimensional network structure, thereby improving low-temperature flowability oil.
