ABSTRACT
Background and purposeTo obtain an understanding of current practice, professional needs future directions in the field fan-beam CT RT, a survey was conducted. This work presents collected information regarding use imaging for dose calculation structure delineation.Materials methodsAn online institutional distributed to medical physics experts employed at Belgian Dutch radiotherapy institutions assess status, challenges, QA practices CT. A maximum 143 questions covered topics such as scanner availability, specifications, protocols, treatment simulation workflow, calculation. Answer forms were between 1-Sep-2022 10-Oct-2022.ResultsA 66 % response rate achieved, yielding data on total 58 scanners. For MV photon therapy, all single-energy scans are reconstructed Hounsfield Units delineation or calculation, direct- stoichiometric method used convert numbers Limited dual-energy is reported (N = 3) proton calculations 1). brachytherapy, most adopt water-based while approximately 26 take tissue heterogeneity into account.
