ABSTRACT
A search for a Higgs boson decaying into two photons is described. The analysis performed using dataset recorded by the CMS experiment at LHC from pp collisions centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity 4.8 inverse femtobarns. Limits are set on cross section standard model photons. expected exclusion limit 95% confidence level between 1.4 and 2.4 times in mass range 110 150 GeV. data excludes, level, 128 132 largest excess events above background observed hypothesis 124 GeV with local significance 3.1 sigma. global observing greater than sigma anywhere 110-150 estimated be 1.8 More required ascertain origin this excess.
