ABSTRACT
Asymptotic safety is a promising mechanism for obtaining consistent and predictive quantum theory gravity. The ADM formalism allows to introduce (Euclidean) time-direction in this framework. It equips spacetime with foliation structure by encoding the gravitational degrees of freedom lapse function, shift vector, metric measuring distances on spatial slices. We use Wetterich equation study renormalization group flow graviton 2-point function extracted from metric. driven 3- 4-point vertices generated foliated Einstein-Hilbert action supplemented minimally coupled scalar vector fields. derive bounds number matter fields cast asymptotic safety. Moreover, we show that phase diagram obtained pure gravity case qualitatively stable within these bounds. An intriguing feature presence an IR-fixed point mass which prevents squared taking negative values. This persists any and, particular, also situations where there no suitable interacting fixed rendering asymptotically safe. Our work complements earlier studies subject contributions into account.
