ABSTRACT
FeCo-based non-noble metal electrocatalysts (NNMEs) of FeCo/MCS-NPCS was fabricated by immobilization hemin on mesoporous carbon shells modified N-doped porous spheres (MCS-NPCS). The obtained exhibits a half-wave potential (E1/2) 0.851 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (vs. RHE) and limited-diffusion current density (JL) 5.45 mA cm−2. In addition, shows comparable oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performances to 20 wt% Pt/C in terms E1/2 JL better electrochemical properties, including methanol tolerance durability alkaline solution. Such outstanding activities can be ascribed Fe and/or Co-based nitrides carbides as well matrixes with shells. This research introduces promising path design synthesize highly efficient FeCo–N–C towards ORR.
