ABSTRACT
Random copolymerization is used to prepare new polymeric materials that combine the desirable properties of different homopolymers. The covalent bonds between comonomers enable miscibility and formation random copolymers with specific tailored for various applications. crystallization behavior intricate, encompassing up three modes, i.e., total comonomeric exclusion, isomorphism, isodimorphism. Isomorphism isodimorphism allow across entire composition range, resulting in unique potentially advantageous each composition. These characteristics have garnered significant attention, as evidenced by multiple publications appeared last decade. This contribution reviews progress made several aspects isodimorphic copolymers, including cases initial section focuses on factors influencing pseudo-eutectic position, which crucial understanding these copolymers. Subsequently, advancements determining degree comonomer inclusion are discussed. Another highlights studies raised questions about concepts particularly their presence blends terpolymers. findings opened avenues research. In final part this review, selected examples presented illustrate relationship structure Furthermore, practical applications, such using hot melt adhesives, showcased. Despite modes emphasizes phenomena continue emerge, providing further opportunities exploration shedding light novel applications related intriguing modes.
