ABSTRACT
With the increasing demands for environmental friendliness, bio-based additives in rubber materials have attracted extensive research attention from academy and industry. However, low molecular weight high polarity are detrimental to mixing compatibility with materials. In this work, we prepare a phenol-functionalized 1,2-PB (1,2-PB-g-CA) by grafting cardanol onto 1,2-polybutadiene (1,2-PB) based on olefin metathesis. The 1,2-PB-g-CA demonstrate controlled number average 7 × 103 4 104 tuned functionality 0% 20%. open reaction system exhibited higher due removal of small molecules. was used as plasticizer silica filled styrene-butadiene (SBR). enhanced interfacial interaction between phenolic hydroxyl groups silanol significantly increased matrix. Compared common paraffinic oil, obtained SBR/silica compounds were afforded rolling resistance, wet grip, heat build-up. Moreover, showed better anti-migration properties. Therefore, our preparation method modified liquid has broad application prospects high-performance "green tire."
