ABSTRACT
Linalool is a major volatile compound used frequently as an ingredient of perfumes and fragrances. Typically, it produced by chemical routes that are not eco-friendly. We have previously succeeded to construct synthetic Escherchia coli producing linalool. However, the linalool productivity this strain economically feasible. In work, metabolic network E. was analyzed using constraint-based modeling through flux balance analysis (FBA) single gene deletion enhance production. The results suggest gdh can improve production 14 folds with no growth reduction. distribution reveals fluxes around glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate pyruvate, which intermediates for biosynthesis DXP linalool, markedly increased in gdh-deleted strain.
