ABSTRACT
Real world problems have usually multiple objectives. These objective functions are of- ten in conflict, making them highly challenging terms of determining optimal solutions and analysing obtained. In this work Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimisation (MOPSO) is employed to optimise the shape marine propellers for first time. The two objectives identified maximising efficiency minimising cavitation. Several experiments undertaken observe analyse impacts structural parameters (shape number blades) operating conditions (RPM) on both objective. paper also investigates negative effects uncertainties Firstly, results showed that MOPSO able find a very accurate uniformly distributed approximation true Pareto front. analysis shows propeller with 5 or 6 blades between 180 190 RPM best trade-offs Secondly, simulation show significant
