ABSTRACT
Model-based leak localization methods are currently developed and applied to real cases. The performance success of such depend highly both on models [Pérez et al. (2011a)] the measurements available. optimal distribution sensors is a good approach (2009)]. Nevertheless, in huge network with hundreds District Metered Area (DMA) question how methodology can help already installed arises. This paper presents sequence steps assess given leakage [Quevedo (2011)]. Initially, flow at control points used, inner pressure added sequentially, since flows often measured common choice for new sensors. Using available information, an investment-precision relationship indicator proposed. assessment situated Barcelona.
