ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design, fabrication and characterization of two Fabry Perot type optical filters (415 nm 540 nm) for enabling Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) in medical devices (MD). The two-colour illumination should satisfy a highly specific which is composed thin-film filter stack titanium dioxide (TiO2) silicon (SiO2) thin-films commercially available light-emitting diodes (LEDs). short-wavelength design most critical simulations show maximum relative output 21% at 415 with Full-Width-Half-Maximum (FWHM) 13 blue LED designed filter, confirmed by experiment. green light 34% FWHM 36 nm. TiO2 SiO2 thin films were fully characterized.
