ABSTRACT
Balanced mechanical properties within the fabric plane and excellent formability have rendered woven glass composite laminates popular in aircraft, automobile, marine civil structures. In practice, while preferring layers fabrication, to achieve required design strength, nominal size of component was increased. This increased total weight component. present work, laminate is strengthened stiffened by interplying high modulus carbon for attaining better specific properties. Two symmetrical four layered glass/carbon hybrid two dedicated or were fabricated separately using hand lay up compression moulding techniques. The static like tensile flexural strength impact dynamic such as storage modulus, loss factor these experimentally evaluated per ASTM standards reported. influence stacking sequence on discussed detail. curves a Cole-Cole plot show an imperfect semi-circular curve indicating heterogeneity relatively good fibre/matrix bonding. A conclusion superiority one constructions structural applications could also be reached.
