ABSTRACT
The paper deals with the quantification of uncertainties in an elevator system, subjected to lateral vibration induced by car guide rail irregularities, and without a feedback control system. A mathematical model for system is derived, stochastic profile irregularities constructed. This describes as random field, which represented means Karhunen-Loève expansion.
