ABSTRACT
The present study investigated the individual and combined effects of xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) gamma-irradiated astragalus polysaccharides (IAPS) on immune response, antioxidant capacity intestinal microbiota composition broiler chickens. A total 240 newly hatched Ross 308 chicks were randomly allocated into 5 dietary treatments including basal diet (control), or supplemented with 50 mg/kg chlortetracycline (CTC), 100 XOS (XOS), 600 IAPS (IAPS), + (XOS IAPS) respectively. results showed that birds in control group had lower thymus index serum lysozyme activity than those other 4 groups (P < 0.05). Moreover, there was an interaction between increasing Birds CTC malondialdehyde concentration higher mucosal interleukin 2 mRNA expression jejunum In addition, duodenal jejunal IgA-producing cells number these As compared group, administration increased Meanwhile, IgA-Producing numbers Dietary proportion Bacteroides, decreased Negativibacillus However, Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes ratio, Ruminococcaceae, as well Barnesiella conclusion, combination could improve immunity barrier function broilers by enhancing cytokine gene expression, cell production modulates cecal microbiota, effect is better CTC, XOS, current study.
