ABSTRACT
Ducks infected with duck circovirus (DuCV) show symptoms such as feather loss, growth retardation and low body weight in the flock. The virus induces immunosuppression increases prevalence of infection other pathogens. However, most studies on were focused co-infection, fewer had been conducted pathogenicity alone. aim present study was to investigate pathogenesis DuCV-1 experimentally specific pathogen-free ducks. In this study, we sequenced whole genome a strain identified genotype DuCV-1b. This named SDLH(OR567883). Animal experiments then conducted, wherein ducks by mucosal injection abdominal injection. Infected sampled for four consecutive weeks after showed dwarfism. We further examined replication highest titers two groups found liver spleen, different results routes infection. Pathological sections organs made it that spleen damaged DuCV-1. conclusion, our experimental indicate can infect individually cause widespread organ damage
