Shirodhara (Indian traditional oil flow therapy) integrated with brief behavioural therapy for unresolved chronic insomnia disorder: A case report

ABSTRACT
Chronic insomnia is a highly prevalent sleep disorder, and often presenting challenges in treatment. We present case of thirty-eight year old male diagnosed with chronic Insomnia who received treatment Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for (CBT-I) multiple concurrent hypnotic psychotropic drugs over decade, without noticeable improvement. The patient was managed Shirodhara (Indian traditional oil flow therapy) & Brief (BBT-I) as add-on intervention. Post-intervention, reported improvement quality stress reduction. Wrist actigraphy documented latency, duration wake after onset during sessions follow up. Results suggested that BBT-I can be an effective non-pharmacological intervention insomnia.
