ABSTRACT
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinico-radiological condition characterized by vasogenic edema of the white matter and acute neurological symptoms. PRES typically affects parieto-occipital regions but rarely optic pathway. Herein, we describe case central-variant in 57-year-old man with abnormal signal intensities pathway on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The patient underwent hemodialysis, initiated diuretics antihypertensive medications, brainstem MRI improved. Although rare, can affect pathway, thus suggesting possibility fragility itself to hyperperfusion.
