ABSTRACT
Forests are considered as a sacred asset in India and have guided the way of living throughout its history. Indian forests not only accommodate myriad species but also act survival support system to communities that depended on them. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development proposed by United Nations (UN) has gained momentum becomes an integral part recent efforts governance. In this investigation, we examined potential nexus between forestry (biodiversity-enriched assets, ecosystem services, constitutional mechanisms, governances) Goals (SDGs) through theoretical underpinnings from literature selected database like Google Scholar, forest survey reports, information retrieved government websites. significance review is it presents comprehensive about forestry, biodiversity-rich sustainable management practices. results show whole food-energy-water cycle contributes all dimensions development, i.e., economic sustainability, social environmental sustainability. investigation confirms besides partly contributing economy life systems many dependent species, boosters areas food security health. Targets related climate action, peace, partnership goals well place various interventions commitments Government India.
