ABSTRACT
The production of forage legumes under Sub-Saharan region Eastern Cape Province (South Africa) had been limited by several factors which includes low levels soil nitrogen and phosphorus. current study aimed at investigating the effects Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) Rhizobium inoculation on growth yield three legumes, namely, Vigna unguiculata, Lablab purpureus Mucuna pruriens. field trials were established over two growing seasons (2017/2018 2018/2019) to measure parameters such as seedling survival, plant height, stem diameter vigor well mycorrhizal dependency, nodulation yield. results showed that dual AMF Rhizobia bacteria significantly increased (P ≤ 0.05) diameter, vigor, nodule numbers, active rate dry matter However, weight content reduced Rhizobia. In conclusion, resulted in high compared single un-inoculated forages both seasons. Therefore, could be an ideal alternative attempts reduce overreliance chemical fertilizer application semi-arid regions.
