ABSTRACT
This study focused on the modification of chitosan with glycine and TiO2 to improve its performance for adsorption application. It is first use a combination chitosan, glycine, in preparation composite films. The obtained chitosan-glycine/TiO2 films were extensively characterized using various techniques, including FT-IR, SEM, XRD, DSC, tensile tests functional groups, morphology, structure, thermal stability, mechanical properties films, respectively. FT-IR analysis confirmed successful formation film, where chemical interaction occurred between carboxyl groups NH2 through condensation process physical chitosan-glycine TiO2. SEM images revealed that surface exhibited rougher texture compared unmodified indicating structural changes due addition XRD indicated alterations crystallinity upon incorporation DSC results demonstrated presence influences stability chitosan. test improvement strength related existence metanil yellow by film was accordance Langmuir isotherm model. In conclusion, resulted development promising adsorbent material improved enhanced strength, higher capacity yellow. These findings contribute potential application processes.
