ABSTRACT
Innovative bionanocomposite foams based on Kraft lignin (Lig) and black liquor (BL) loaded with sepiolite (Sep) were prepared. BL/Sep bionanocomposites synthesized by emulsion templating Lig/Sep prepared freeze-drying, resulting in stable rigid foams. displayed a closed cell structure, specific area between 19 35 m2/g macropores of varying sizes. The porosity this technique is achieved the mechanical agitation emulsion. On other hand, freeze-dried showed open morphology surface areas ranging from 1 to 4 uniform due ice-templating process. presence both types improved their stiffness, Young's moduli 0.21 9.6 MPa. capacity adsorb metals, drugs dyes was evaluated it found that exhibiting similar adsorption capacities as reported for lignin. Sepiolite significantly Cu(II), Cd(II), acetaminophen, methylene blue (MB) bionanocomposites. Meanwhile, demonstrated superior Cr(VI) anion aromatic ring compounds, including acetaminophen MB. In respect, these lignin-sepiolite can be considered promising materials removal pollutants aqueous solution.
