ABSTRACT
Abstract The crystallographic textures developed in a zinc–copper–titanium (ZnCuTi) alloy sheet during asymmetric rolling have been studied. The strain history undergone by the sheet has been calculated by an elasto-plastic flow line model. The so obtained successive strain increments have been used as input data to a Taylor model, to simulate the corresponding texture evolution in the sheet. It is shown that the shear strain is the dominant factor that governs the texture evolution during asymmetric rolling.
