ABSTRACT
This research seeks to identify suitable locations for deploying community Electric Vehicle charging points using a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based approach. The infrastructure is classified into shared-residential, en-route, and destination types, each type's selection criteria are chosen according the characteristics of targeted end-users. investigation identified 770 ideal in Dublin that may be given priority initial installation infrastructure. Further, 3080 sites were later implementation satisfy requirements forecasted by Local Authority 2030. population served proposed residential determined while considering accessibility five-minute walking or cycling. Results from study can helpful practitioners stations region. methodology utilises an open-source GIS-supported approach adapted similar cities worldwide.
