ABSTRACT
One of the main factors for determination energy yield photovoltaic (PV) systems is incoming solar irradiation, which a function (i) spatial configuration PV panels with respect to Sun (ii) each location. The aim this work determine potential in Iberian Peninsula, attending two criteria. Regarding (i), different methods estimation optimal tilt angle and how parameter influences production, are analysed. With (ii), climate zoning proposed be used as reference radiation study performed using experimental data from capital cities Peninsula (Spain Portugal). In addition, annual production was compared several configurations order estimate losses per unit produced angle. Results show that can fixed 34° all being lower than 1%. Differences 1% were obtained between approaches existing literature calculate angle, showing although key its variation must significant have an impact on losses.
