ABSTRACT
A near-shore marine intertidal environment-associated Streptomyces isolate (USC-633) from the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, Australia, cultivated under a range chemically defined and complex media to determine optimal parameters resulting in secretion diverse array secondary metabolites with antimicrobial properties against various antibiotic resistant bacteria.Following extraction, fractioning re-testing active resulted persistent antibacterial activity Escherichia coli (Migula) (ATCC 13706) subsequent Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analysis fractions confirmed induction different than ones which did not display same bacterial species.Overall findings again value One StraineMany Compounds (OSMAC) approach that tests wide growth trigger bioactive compound increasing likelihood finding novel therapeutic agents. The was found be adaptable both terrestrial conditions corresponding its original nearshore environment.Wide variations morphology, sporulation diffusible pigment production were observed when used.
