ABSTRACT
To elucidate the impact of intended delivery mode on long-term outcomes among extremely preterm infants.Women who delivered singletons between 23 0/7 and 25 6/7 weeks gestation from January 2010 to March 2014 their infants were included in this study. The cases fetal growth restriction those with a chromosomal or major structural abnormality excluded. death that was diagnosed before labor onset non-reassuring status, placental abruptions umbilical cord prolapse at also primary outcome incidence composite adverse events, including death, cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental delay, age three years. grade III IV intraventricular hemorrhage, cystic periventricular leukomalacia, necrotizing enterocolitis, focal intestinal perforation, sepsis neonatal period, assessed as short-term outcomes. association outcome, each component analyzed using multivariate logistic regression model.Eighty analyses. Primary could be 72 cases. Infantile events discharge observed 19 (24%). prevalence 40% (29 cases). not associated complication. An advantage cesarean terms prognosis years observed.
