ABSTRACT
Cadmium (Cd) is hazardous to human health because of its toxicity and long half-life clearance. Many studies have explored the relationship between chronic Cd exposure different diseases. However, most limited study targets two or three organ systems. The goal this was establish a mouse model accumulation in systems particularly investigate potential toxic effects cardiovascular system. Mice were divided into groups: control group, Cd-100 Cd-200 group. In detected kidney, lung, liver, heart urine but undetectable aorta, intestine, thigh bone, spinal bone serum. Upon groups, accumulated all tissues, with dramatic increase concentration. We confirmed that could accumulate significantly aorta upon exposure. This finding might help explain on these organs. addition, calcium concentration bones kidney declined when increased. aligned negative bony mineralization direct bones. impacts system explored. Histologically, led myocytes hypertrophy myocardial architecture disarray group compared those Our research confirms can organs studied exposure, suggests may play important roles mediating pathophysiologic target organs, especially heart.
