ABSTRACT
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and fatal primary malignant brain tumour in adults. The average survival time of patients after diagnosis only 12-15 months. And its characteristics excessive proliferation apoptosis evasion play a crucial role poor prognosis patients. Therefore, it worth investigating molecular mechanism GBM to find an effective therapeutic target overcome dilemma. In current study, Transmembrane BAX inhibitor motif containing 1 (TMBIM1) was highly expressed tissues high TMBIM1 expression cell lines (U87 U251) could promote inhibit cycle arrest. addition, significantly attenuate decrease sensitivity cells temozolomide (TMZ). terms mechanism, we revealed that interferes with p38/MAPK pathway by inhibiting p38 phosphorylation apoptosis. vivo experiments showed mice knockdown group prolonged. Our discovery provided important basis for future intensive research presented potential treatment GBM.
