Abstract Numerous and complex sequence of activities in medical device development often result time consuming expensive engineering processes. In this study, patient designer requirements were identified integrated within a novel framework which supports design through consolidated understanding user-experience whilst directly coalescing the applicable regulatory terms product compliance certification. This assists safe reliable products reflect need for increased usability considerations during design.
