ABSTRACT
In a recent article, Kelly [4] has been able to exhibit interesting equilibrium properties for wide class of ‘quasi-reversible’ queue networks. The assumption quasi-reversibility puts restrictions on discipline, but not the distributions service requirements customers: however, because method proof he employed, was forced impose condition that were finite mixtures gamma distributions. form results obtained led him conjecture this in fact unnecessary, as is shown be case paper. used prove potentially application, problems where ‘method stages' leads useful simplification.
