ABSTRACT
Abstract Understanding protein fermentation in the hindgut of pigs is essential due to its implications for health, and ileal digesta commonly used study this process vitro . This aimed assess feasibility utilizing digested residues as a replacement evaluating potential. In from cottonseed meal, maize germ peanut rapeseed cake, soybean meal sunflower were analysed using modified gas production (GP) technique curve fitting model determine their dynamics compare with use digesta. Significant variations observed GP parameters between residues, indicating differences nitrogen utilization by faecal microbiota. Soybean exhibited highest maximum rates (R max ), values 29.5 ± 0.6 28.0 1.2 mL/h, respectively, while showed slowest (17.3 0.2 mL/h). A positive relationship was found R 2 = 0.85, P < 0.01). However, potential (GP s ) tendency negative 0.39, 0.1), likely narrow presence varied endogenous proteins Our results demonstrate substitute assessing ingredients, particularly regarding rate fermentation.
