Nasal polyposis in patients with asthma and allergic rhinitis

ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of nasal polyps in patients with allergic rhinitis and asthma, also assess impact this condition on these disorders. Study design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: The presence was assessed by rhinoscopy endoscopic examination. Results: Nasal were detected 60 out 250 (24 per cent) documented asthma or rhinitis. There a statistically significant correlation between severity polyposis ( p = 0.007), but not 0.081). increased significantly increasing patient age duration. Conclusion: higher than previously reported. Given high polyposis, examination concomitant treatment disorder are recommended.
