ABSTRACT
Abstract Two hundred days after the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Brazil, epidemic has rapidly spread metropolitan areas and advanced throughout countryside. We followed temporal pattern at São Paulo State, most populous country, to have a COVID-19, one with significant number cases until now. analysed new per day each regional health department calculated effective reproduction ( R t ) over time. Social distance measures, along improvement testing isolating positive cases, general population mask-wearing standard security protocols for essential non-essential activities, were adopted impacted on slowing down velocity but insufficient stop transmission.
