ABSTRACT
Crystallization as the most widespread purification, separation, and morphology-determining method is a critical technology that could be made safer more economical by using continuous crystallization alternatives. Accordingly, this study aims to develop for direct processing of flow reaction mixture acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) provide pure, homogeneous crystalline products further formulation steps. The solid–liquid separation purification from multicomponent were accomplished in single stage mixed suspension product removal (MSMPR) crystallizer equipped with an overflow inner buffer element ensure representative withdrawal suspension. effect process parameters such operating temperature length residence time (RT) on quality quantity studied at two three levels, respectively. Investigating these parameters, we found higher temperatures (25 °C) longer (47 min) favor appropriate purity (>99.5%), narrow crystal size distribution. By reducing (2.5 °C), yield improved slightly (approximately 77%) polydisperse characterized. developed can link synthesis formulation, consequently serves step toward end-to-end production.
