ABSTRACT
A series of Ni/γ-Al2O3 and Ni–Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared evaluated for the hydrogenation methyl acrylate to propionate in a fixed-bed reactor. Physicochemical characterizations these carried out with Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis, X-ray diffraction, UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, Raman hydrogen temperature programed reduction, photoelectron transmission electron microscopy. It was noticed that Mo loaded onto catalyst could not only promote dispersion Ni particles but also weaken interaction between NiO γ-Al2O3 support. The effect calcination on is mainly due enhancement species γ-Al2O3. influence reduction catalysts, as well reaction conditions, studied detail. As result, this process be efficiently promoted optimal 10Ni–10Mo/γ-Al2O3 highest yield 94% selectivity 99.9%, no deactivation behavior observed after 130 h time-on-stream at 100 °C 1.0 MPa.
