ABSTRACT
With polystyrene (PS) microspheres as the matrix and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) methyl (MMA) monomers, two polymer brushes including a homopolymer brush of PS–PGMA block copolymer PS–P(MMA-b-GMA) were synthesized via surface-initiated activators regenerated by electron-transfer atom-transfer radical polymerization. Furthermore, ring-opening reaction between epoxy groups in these hydroxyl 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinooxy (4-OH-TEMPO) was carried out, consequently obtaining nitroxide PS–PGMA–TEMPO PS–P(MMA-b-GMA)–TEMPO. The obtained characterized using variety analytical techniques. supported inhibitor successfully applied synthesis epoxidized soybean oil acrylate (AESO), showing good inhibiting effect easy recyclability. Then TEMPO (nitroxide brush) free combined compound-inhibiting system to synthesize AESO. After synthesis, recovered filtration reserved AESO prevent it from gelling storage process. with excellent performance low residual through use this inhibitor.
