ABSTRACT
This work focuses on the study of a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process for biogas upgrading using carbon molecular sieve adsorbent. Adsorption equilibrium and diffusion data pure components were used to predict multicomponent behavior. To validate prediction at different concentrations, breakthrough curve experiments performed gas mixture pressures (0.25, 0.5, 1, 5 bar). Based basic information, model was performance two-column PSA unit. The as feed 60% CH4 40% CO2 with swings between bar in mode 0.1 blowdown. Experimental demonstrated that could describe good accuracy. We have evaluated influence times biomethane recovery purity. Biomethane purity higher than 97.5% 90% obtained.
