ABSTRACT
The effects of the reaction parameters were systematically investigated on amine loading during functionalization cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) using N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane (APMDS). Meanwhile, mechanical and CO2 adsorption characteristics CNF aerogels examined. Tertiary butanol was highly suitable for functionalization. 9.02 mmol·g–1 achieved with 6% APMDS. APMDS reacted hydroxyl groups mainly at C6 CNFs, introduced primary intact. elastic modulus yield stress aerogel from modified CNFs 267 9.75 kPa, respectively. uptakes 1.02 0.35 25 °C, respectively, 15 kPa by chemical physical interactions, chemisorption dominated, but this domination decreased gradually pressure. Therefore, APMDS-premodified promising capture low partial pressure CO2.
