ABSTRACT
Trehalose is an important rare sugar that protects biomolecules against environmental stress. We herein introduce a dual enzyme cascade strategy regulates the proportion of cargos and scaffolds, to maximize benefits immobilization. Based upon self-assembling properties shell protein (EutM) from ethanolamine utilization (Eut) bacterial microcompartment, we implemented catalytic synthesis trehalose soluble starch with coimmobilization α-amylase synthase. This improved enzymatic activity operational stability. The system enabled efficient production yield ∼3.44 g/(L U), 1.5 times free system. Moreover, its was maintained over 12 h, while almost completely inactivated after 4 demonstrating significantly enhanced thermostability. In conclusion, attractive self-assembly platform developed, which provides effective biological process for in vitro.
