ABSTRACT
Plant viral diseases cause the loss of millions dollars to agriculture around world annually. Therefore, development highly efficient, ultra-low-dosage agrochemicals is desirable for protecting health crops and ensuring food security. Herein, a series 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives bearing an isopropanol amine moiety was prepared, inhibitory activity against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) assessed. Notably, compound A14 exhibited excellent anti-TMV protective with EC50 value 137.7 mg L-1, which superior that ribavirin (590.0 L-1) ningnanmycin (248.2 L-1). Moreover, some compounds could be further enhanced (by up 5-30%) through supplementation 0.1% auxiliaries. Biochemical assays suggested suppress biosynthesis TMV induce plant's defense response. Given these merits, designed had outstanding bioactivities unusual action mechanisms were promising candidates controlling plant diseases.
