ABSTRACT
Gnetum parvifolium is a rich source of materials for traditional medicines, food, and oil, but little known about the mechanism underlying its seed dormancy germination. In this study, we analyzed proteome-level changes in seeds during germination using isobaric tags relative absolute quantitation. total, 1,040 differentially expressed proteins were identified, cluster analysis revealed distinct time points which signal transduction oxidation-reduction activity changed. Gene Ontology showed that "carbohydrate metabolic process" "response to oxidative stress" main enriched terms. Proteins associated with starch degradation antioxidant enzymes important dormancy-release, while energy metabolism protein synthesis up-regulated Moreover, protein-interaction networks mainly heat-shock proteins. Furthermore, accord metabolism- antioxidant-related proteins, indole-3-acetic acid, Peroxidase, soluble sugar content increased, decreased almost all six stages (S1-S6). The superoxide dismutase, abscisic malondialdehyde increased (S1-S3) then (S4-S6). Our results provide new insights into G. at proteome physiological levels, implications improving propagation.
