ABSTRACT
In this study, we isolated and characterized the bacterial strain Pseudomonas sp. BYT-1, which is capable of degrading pymetrozine using it as sole carbon source for growth. Strain BYT-1 could degrade 2.30 mM within 20 h under optimal conditions 30 °C pH 7.0. Investigation degradation pathway showed that was oxidatively hydrolyzed to 4-amino-6-methyl-4,5-dihydro-2 H-[1,2,4]triazin-3-one (AMDT) nicotinic acid (NA). The former accumulates end product in culture, whereas latter hydroxylated 6-hydroxynicotinic (6HNA) subjected further degradation. transformation AMDT NA by cell-free extracts also supported oxidative hydrolysis C═N double bond initial step. This first report on a pure culture with ability pymetrozine. These findings enhance our understanding microbial mechanism
