ABSTRACT
Diabetes and its complications are one of the most concerned metabolic diseases worldwide threaten human health severely. Hypoglycemic hypolipidemic effects glucomannan extracted from konjac on high-fat diet streptozocin-induced type 2 diabetic rats were evaluated in this study. Administration significantly decreased levels fasting blood glucose, serum insulin, glucagon-like peptide 1, glycated protein. The concentrations lipids, including total cholesterol, triacylglycerols, low-density lipoprotein non-esterified fatty acid, notably reduced by treatment. In addition, antioxidant capacity, pancreatic injury, adipose cell hypertrophy ameliorated administration rats. Besides, ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry-based lipidomics analysis was used to explore improvement lipid disturbance glycerolipid (diacylglycerol, monoacylglycerol, triacylglycerol), acyl (acylcarnitine hydroxyl acid), sphingolipid (ceramide sphingomyelin), glycerophospholipid (phosphatidylcholine) metabolism attenuated This study provided new insights for investigating anti-diabetic suggests that may be a promising nutraceutical treating diabetes.
