ABSTRACT
Thermophysical properties of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazoliumtris(pentafluoroethyl) trifluorophosphate, [C4mim][(C2F5)3PF3] (CAS RN 917762-91-5) ionic liquid, were measured in the temperature range T = (283.15–353.15) K, at P 0.1 MPa. These include density, isobaric heat capacity, speed sound, refractive index, viscosity, and thermal conductivity their correlation as a function temperature. Data obtained compared with available literature, whenever available. Comparison these results those reported for ILs same cation or anion is presented discussed. Derived quantities such expansivity isothermal isentropic compressibility also estimated. Arrhenius, Ghatee, Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann, IUPAC equations applied to correlate viscosity data dependence on temperature, last one being more effective accurate. An estimation method was applied. Calculated values by this equation deviate from experimental between −15.6% 293 K −17.9% 353 within mutual uncertainty estimation. The IoNanofluid made dispersion multi-walled carbon nanotubes (1% wt MWCNTs) determined. enhancement due presence MWCNTs found vary 4% 9.6% an average 6.2%, weakly dependent
