ABSTRACT
Three materials containing a photoactive unit, 10-phenyl phenothiazine (PTH), have been studied for the visible light-mediated oxidative coupling of amines. In particular, considered are assembled through condensation extended polyimine, polyhydrazone, or polytriazine frameworks. These three present different stabilities in presence strong nucleophiles such as amines, which is key factor efficient catalytic performance. series reported herein, triazine-based material shows optimal compromise between activity and stability when achieving imine products. Accordingly, while significant leaching molecular active fragments ruled out polymers, other show chemical erosion result reaction with amine substrates. Consequently, only allows performing several cycles (up to seven) yields higher than 80%. The applicability this heterogeneous catalyst has proven variety substrates, confirming its obtaining diverse products excellent yields.
