ABSTRACT
Rare-earth-ion-doped upconversion (UC) nanoparticles have generated considerable interest because of their potential application in solar cells, biological labeling, therapeutics, and imaging. However, the applications UC were still limited low emission efficiency. Photonic crystals noble metal are applied extensively to enhance rare earth ions. In present work, a novel substrate consisting inverse opal photonic Ag was prepared by template-assisted method, which used NaYF4: Yb3+, Er3+ nanoparticles. The red or green emissions selectively enhanced on substrates Bragg reflection band gap. Additionally, enhancement induced coupling nanoparticle plasmons crystal effects realized included substrate. results demonstrated that with provides useful strategy rare-earth-ion-doped
