ABSTRACT
Tough hydrogel adhesives that can bond strongly to wet surfaces have shown great potential in various applications. However, it still remains a challenge develop the adhered hydrogels integrated with strong adhesion, high transparency, exceptional mechanical properties, and fast self-recovery. Herein, tough nanocomposite demonstrating tensile strength, self-recovery are reported. The adhesion between two films be realized by introducing chemical bridging across hydrogel-hydrogel interface, while interfacial energy shearing strength up 2216 J m-2 385 N m-1, respectively. superior toughness of our enable their reassembly capability produce stretchable sealed balloons endure air pressure without leakage. Most interestingly, combination excellent sealability transparency also allows turn into hydraulically driven tunable focus convex lenses, which is first reported here for lenses. may open door soft containers intelligent optical devices.
