ABSTRACT
To improve the antibacterial and osteogenic activities of poly(etherketoneketone) (PEKK), concentrated sulfuric acid (H2SO4) suspension with silicon nitride (SN) microparticle was utilized to modify PEKK surface. Through sulfonation reaction, microporous coatings PEKK/SN composites were created on surface, which integrated substrate. The results showed that content SN in increased increase H2SO4 (PKS without SN, PKSC5 PKSC10 5 10 wt % H2SO4) surface roughness hydrophilicity significantly improved increasing. In addition, coating high exhibited excellent activity due synergistic action presence amino (−NH2) sulfonic (−SO3H) groups as well improvement protein absorption. Moreover, obviously stimulated adhesion, proliferation, differentiation rat bone mesenchymal stem cells. Furthermore, histological push-out load evaluation indicated promoted osteogenesis osseointegration vivo. suggested display good biocompatibility, activities, ability, would have great potential for substitutes.
