ABSTRACT
Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a vivid biofilm-producing bacterium, is considered dreadful opportunistic pathogen, and thus, management of biofilm-associated infections due to multidrug resistant strains by traditional drugs currently great concern. This study was aimed assess the impact trigonelline hydrochloride, pyridine alkaloid, on P. aeruginosa PAO1, in search an alternative therapeutant. The effect colony morphology motility studied along with its role biofilm expression virulence factors. Trigonelline influenced structure, motility, architecture, production factors dose-dependent manner. Alterations quorum sending (QS)-regulated gene after treatment molecular docking analysis for certain regulator proteins confirmed QS-system network affecting Las, Rhl, Pqs signaling pathways as possible targets. Thus, might be potential chemical lead manage pathogenesis or develop other analogues enhanced pharmacokinetic actions.
