ABSTRACT
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) pose a serious threat to human health, with atherosclerosis being leading cause of heart disease and stroke. Elevated cysteine (Cys) levels have been closely linked an increased risk cardiovascular diseases, underscoring its significance in health. However, current detection methods for serum atherosclerotic plaques present challenges sensitivity, specificity, dynamic monitoring, invasiveness. The development more sensitive, specific, noninvasive assays is needed enable accurate monitoring levels. This study introduces the characterization Cys-NPs, sensitive selective tool imaging foam cells mice. Encapsulation HD-probe using DSPE-PEG obtain Cys-NPs effectively reduced interference from glutathione (GSH), successful preparation validation Cys-NPs's nanoscale structure. At same time, was able use differences Hcy Cys concentrations vivo better assess vivo. In vitro studies demonstrated effective mice, highlighting potential assessment ischemic research clinical practice.
